Into The Valley: Valentine's Night At The Trades Club

Into The Valley is a new quarterly club night based in Hebden Bridge in deepest West Yorkshire from a collective variously involved with Futuresonic, paperecordings and Airtight Studios. It offers brand new sounds spanning different genres including leftfield acoustic techno, nu-disco, house, phuture bass and breaks from some of the UK’s best DJs and experimental live acts.

Hebden Bridge is famed for its picturesque setting, hippies, lesbians and gung-ho party people. Into The Valley is based in the intimate Trades Club, which has previously seen the likes of Kevin Saunderson and Andy Weatherall tread its boards. It boasts a unique atmosphere, supreme sound-system and possibly a man in the corner sipping mild with his dog…

Opening Night… Into The Valley presents special guests Manchester’s Zed Bias (Dubspot/Madd Slinky) and Denis Jones (live).

Manchester’s rising star Denis Jones is a self-taught guitarist playing a uniquely textured blend of rhythmical future-folk who has been recently adopted as one of the Futuresonic festival’s resident artists. Part of the new wave of forward thinking folk he warps traditional sounds round loop stations and electronics to create something totally unique.

Meanwhile producer, remixer and DJ Zed Bias has been at the cutting edge of dance music for the last 10 years, producing breaks, beats, house and dubstep. Recently voted into the top 20 of the IDJ Player of the Year Awards, his internationally renowned set of wild party jack-the-box grooves will create a memorable night for both head and feet.

Support comes from local jocks Chris Price (What the Freak/Feeling Up) and Flash Atkins (paperecordings/We Are Woodville)
