P Jørgensen, Seasons(Pre-din) & Ithaca Trio
Hibernate Recordings present an evening of luminous textures, crystalline tones and vibrant ambient drone at the Birchcliffe Centre, featuring P Jørgensen, Seasons(Pre-din) & Ithaca Trio.
P Jørgensen – A sound artist and composer for both ensemble and film currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Exploring the relationship between composition and chance, Jørgensen draws upon a palette of acoustic instrumentation and field recordings, transforming them via laptop into luminous textures, crystalline tones and vibrant ambient drones.
Seasons(Pre-din) – You might not be familiar with the work of Seasons (pre-din), but the shadowy northerner has been honing his craft for some time now, covertly issuing a slew of stunning albums while the world ticked on. He cut his teeth performing and collaborating with Richard Skelton and Xela, but over the last couple of years has busied himself prepping a range of hand-made releases on his own label.
Ithaca Trio – An ever shifting group of people, Ithaca Trio also manage to cover a variety of styles in their music – ranging from slow burning deep ambient pieces reminiscent of Machinefabriek on a calm day or Jasper TX, they’re also at home producing clear as a bell rythmic pieces based around (ahem) ‘real’ instrumentation, taking nods from Steve Reich or John Fahey.
