Steve Tilston’s Trades Roots With Bob Fox
This month’s guest, Bob Fox, has graced the folk circuit for 35 years. Ralph McTell rates him as “an artist of great ability and integrity” with “one of the best voices in England” and an “astonishing guitar technique”.
Colin Randall hailed him as “possibly the most complete male artist in English folk”. In 2006 Bob was asked to join an elite group – including Kate Rusby, Karine Polwart, Jez Lowe and John Tams – to record the new Radio Ballads for Radio 2.
We have welcomed some great performers from the north east recently (Lowe, Unthanks, Garbutt), and Bob’s another not to miss.
