Council Achieves Carbon Trust Standard
Calderdale Council has received national recognition for reducing its carbon footprint. The Council has achieved the national Carbon Trust Standard certificate after assessors identified a number of key projects which show how Calderdale Council is reducing its CO2 emissions year on year.

Calderdale Council and its waste collection contractor SITA UK, are pulling out all the stops to clear the backlog of household waste. Waste and recycling collections were suspended during the extreme winter weather, because refuse and recycling collection vehicles were unable to reach many collection points.

It has been revealed that a relationship exists between Gareth Binding the CEO of charity Cool UK, and Janet Oosthuysen, the Local Labour Party Member who was deselected as parliamentary candidate by Labour’s National Executive Committee last year, following revelations about criminal damage to her ex-boyfriend’s property.
