Calderdale Central Library & Archives Consultation
Calderdale Council has commissioned MVA Consultancy to carry out independent consultation on the future of the library and archive service in Halifax.
The Council is exploring a range of options for the library service as part of its Customer First initiative, delivering customer-designed and purpose-built council services to the people of Calderdale in a convenient and modern way.
MVA will carry out independent research, including face-to-face interviews and surveys with library and archive users.
Kersten England, Group Director, Community Services says:
“We are delighted to be working with MVA on this crucial piece of work. They have a long track record of capturing and analysing public opinion, and have an excellent understanding of how local people value public services.”
MVA’s consultation will be complemented by a series of events across the Borough, starting with a launch as part of the Town Centre Area Forum in Halifax on 17 June.
When details of events are finalised, they will be published on the Council’s website and made available through the local media.
The Council’s Cabinet will consider the results of the consultation, along with detailed technical surveys, in August.
