Connection Revealed Between Cool UK And Janet Oosthuysen
It has been revealed that a relationship exists between Gareth Binding the CEO of charity Cool UK, and Janet Oosthuysen, the Local Labour Party Member who was deselected as parliamentary candidate by Labour’s National Executive Committee last year, following revelations about criminal damage to her ex-boyfriend’s property.
Mr. Binding is currently involved in an employment tribunal brought by the Calder Valley Labour Candidate Steph Booth against Cool UK, for unfair dismissal. And testimony from the tribunal reveals that Cool UK was poorly managed, ‘chaotic’ and ‘unprofessional’. Witness statements also accuse Mr Binding of boasting to colleagues about his media connections, frequently telling staff to “look out for an article in the ( name of paper) about Steph this weekend.”
The relationship, and communication between Mr. Binding and Ms. Oosthuysen was revealed during cross-examination of Mr. Binding at the tribunal, and the connection also confirmed by social networking website Facebook.
A member of Calder Valley Labour Party said of the relationship between Binding and Oosthuysen: “I’m appalled to discover that Janet would choose to involve herself with someone like Gareth Binding, it may even suggest her part in a conspiracy to have Steph deselected”
“I suppose the important question is whether this relationship started before or after Janet was deselected by the NEC”
The Hebden Bridge List contacted Cool UK for Mr. Binding’s comments, however Finance Director Michelle Binding (daughter of Mr. Binding) said he was currently unavailable.
The employment tribunal between Steph Booth and Cool UK is expected to conclude tomorrow.
