Hebden Bridge List Website Feature Updates

2009

It’s been a little over six months since The Hebden Bridge List first appeared on the web, and in that short time we have made astonishing progress in terms of attracting an audience and achieving our aims for the first year. Last month saw over 8,000 unique visitors to the website, and well over 30,000 page views, and we are on target to supersede those figures already for this month. But we’re certainly not going to be resting on our laurels.

Since the first incarnation of The Hebden Bridge List, we’ve been slowly adding new features to the site along the way, and this is set to continue as we head into Spring and Summer. By Autumn 2009, we aim to have begun developing the next version of the website, which will make radical improvements in all areas.

Dy By Day Diary Events
Recently, we added a new Diary section to The Hebden Bridge List website, which now shows regularly occurring events which are happening on in and around Hebden Bridge, such as exercise and meditation classes, dance and martial arts classes, and meetings of local clubs and associations. We will continue to publish one-off events such as gigs, exhibitions, and festivals in the main Events of the website.

Local Information
We have also added a Local Information section, which currently contains details of tourist information contacts and Hebden Bridge markets days, but will be developed over time to become an invaluable resource for anyone seeking information about Hebden Bridge.

Twitter Feed
Perhaps more significantly, we have also recently signed up with Twitter to help extend our reach beyond the web browser and onto mobile devices such as the iPhone and other mobile/smart phones. We will initially be using Twitter to provide news and event notifications and reminders, but we may extend this further to cover other areas of the website. If you would like to ‘follow’ The Hebden Bridge List and receive our tweets, simply click here and click the ‘follow’ button. If you are not a Twitter user already, you will need to sign up for an account.

Thanks To New Advertisers
Last but not least, we would like to welcome and thank; UK Accounts Plus, The Robin Hood Inn, Croft Mill Apartments, rubyshoesday, The Old Treehouse, and Klog, who all recently chose to advertise with us. We are extremely grateful for their business, and assure them and you, of our commitment to make The Hebden Bridge List the number one website for Hebden Bridge.
