Local Jewellery Designer Featured In Vogue

Jewellery designer, Rachel Lucie, couldn’t believe her luck when she was approached by Vogue magazine this February. The local designer / maker has only been making jewellery for 2 years, and has been delighted by the success she has already achieved since deciding to make her passion into a business.

Rachel says “Vogue contacted me via my blog, would you believe, and said that my pearl jewellery would be perfect for an editorial spread they were running on pearl jewellery, I couldn’t believe it!”

Rachel works from home and has really embraced the ‘digital age’ using twitter, a blog and other social networking sites to promote her work, meet other artists and find her customers. This has brought her a number of new outlets who have found her, and lead to her Vogue feature.

With sterling silver jewellery incorporating semi-precious stones, pearls and Swarovski crystal, and an eclectic style which is influenced by Art Deco and Hollywood icons, Rachel’s designs offer a unique casual style which are ideal for any occasion. Distinct collections, including the Pearl Collection, Oasis Collection and the Inspired Collection mean there is something for everyone

Building up her business whilst being a full time mum, Rachel has been selling her work in galleries, nationwide (including Heart Gallery, locally) and has developed a good online presence selling in online stores.
