New Jazz Club Planned For Hebden Bridge
In association with Hebden Bridge Trades Club, Dave Nelson will be staging monthly jazz events from January, bringing you contemporary jazz from the best regional, UK and international jazz musicians. The opening night will see Dave supporting Rod Mason’s Elements.
The new HX7 Jazz Club will be a platform for fresh, exciting young players, will encourage new projects and will, of course, feature more established and well known touring performers. The Jazz Club will usually be on the 3rd Thursday of each month, although this may vary, and performances will start at 9.00pm (doors open 8.15pm), finishing at around 11.00pm.
Dave Nelson regularly performs solo jazz concerts, often bringing his inimitable style to a considerable repertoire of jazz standards, but also playing his own compositions which come under a general title of Jazz Excursions. He also puts together the music for Hebden Bridge Arts Festival, and also runs a programme of both jazz and classical at Wainsgate Chapel.
