Calderdale Council is offering late night shoppers across Calderdale free parking in the run up to Christmas. The Council are supporting local shops during the run up to Christmas by ensuring all pay and display parking bays are free of charge after 3.00 pm on late night shopping days.

Historic Pub Sign Discovered At Shibden Hall
An historic stone pub sign dating back to the 1600s has been rediscovered at Shibden Hall in Halifax. The Malt Shovel flagstone was originally the sign for the Malt Shovel Inn that was located on Northgate as far back as 1629.
School Steps Toward Self Sufficiency
Calderdale Councillors will next week consider proposals which could help Todmorden High School become more self-sufficient. Staff and students want to develop a fish farm and associated growing plots on land behind the school.
